Hello there!
I'm Shawn Guo (L1Ryx), a software engineer specializing in systems, gameplay, and audio programming.
I recently graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.M. in Music for New Media. At JHU, I led the Hopkins Game Development Society and co-developed EN.601.257 (Computer Graphics and 3D Game Programming) and EN.601.355 (Game Engine Programming) with CS faculty.
I previously worked as a C++ Software Engineering Intern on the Call of Duty franchise at Activision / Raven Software, where I worked on runtime audio systems, tooling, and production audio pipelines.
Currently, I'm working as a software engineer with an audio and systems focus at Snow Day Games on Vesuvius, an action-adventure platformer.
Apart from software and games engineering, I'm most interested in audio middleware and DSP programming for purposes of immersive sound in games and other interactive media. Thanks for checking out what I do, and enjoy your visit!
